QROV DASHCAM APP – Privacy Policy

“QROV DASHCAM” interconnection services are provided by QROV INC (“we”, “us”, or “the Company”). We regard user privacy as a fundamental right. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, protect, and share personal information when you use the QROV DASHCAM mobile application and related services on Android and iOS platforms.
This Privacy Policy is closely related to the services you use. Please read it carefully and make choices you believe are appropriate.
1. Personal Information We May Collect
1.1 Definition
Personal information refers to any information recorded electronically or otherwise that can identify a specific natural person independently or in combination with other information, or reflect their activities.
If you refuse to provide certain information, QROV DASHCAM may be unable to provide some or all services or may not achieve the intended service effect. We may also be unable to respond to issues you encounter.
1.2 Types of Personal Information Collected
1.2.1 Account Information
When you register or log in using email, we collect:
- Email address
- Password or verification credentials (e.g., verification codes)
Purpose:
Account creation, verification, account security, abnormal login detection, and password recovery.
1.2.2 Mobile Storage and Media Access
With your authorization, we access device storage to:
- Download, save, read, display, and delete dashcam photos and videos
- Read and manage SD card data
This is a sensitive permission and is requested only when required for functionality.
1.2.3 Installed Application List (Android)
We access the installed application list solely to:
- Allow users to select apps when sharing videos or photos
No unrelated data is accessed.
1.2.4 Device and Usage Information
To improve service stability and security, we may collect:
- Device model, OS version
- Device identifiers (including MAC address)
- Recorder device ID
- SIM and network information
- App version
- Browsing and operation records
- Application runtime status (foreground/background)
1.2.5 Location Information
With your consent, we may collect:
- GPS, Wi-Fi, or cellular-based location data
Purpose:
Dashcam positioning, route playback, recorder identification, and map display.
1.2.6 IP Address
We collect IP addresses to:
- Allocate nearby servers
- Improve access speed
- Enhance service stability
1.2.7 Wi-Fi Information (SSID / BSSID)
To establish communication between the app and the recorder, we collect:
- Wi-Fi SSID and BSSID
This is used only to identify and authenticate recorder devices and establish direct communication.
1.2.8 MAC Address (Sensitive Information)
We collect MAC addresses to:
- Uniquely distinguish device environments
- Collect error logs
- Diagnose and fix device-specific issues
This improves product stability and user experience.
1.2.9 Application Logs and Error Reporting
To monitor abnormal behavior and optimize performance, we collect:
- Crash logs
- Operational error records
- Diagnostic information
1.2.10 Account Cancellation and Data Deletion
QROV DASHCAM provides real-time account cancellation with no manual review.

App → Me → Account → Personal Information → Cancel Account
Once confirmed:
- All personal information is permanently deleted
- The account cannot be recovered
Proceed with caution.
2. How We Use Your Personal Information
We use collected information for the following purposes:
2.1 Service Provision
- Account registration and management
- Dashcam connection and authentication
- Media download, storage, playback, and sharing
- Payment processing (if applicable)
2.2 Security and Stability
- Abnormal login detection
- Device authentication
- Error diagnosis and crash analysis
- Fraud prevention
2.3 Third-Party Services
Some services are supported by third-party SDKs. With your consent:
- Necessary information may be shared with third parties
- If you refuse, corresponding third-party services may not function
When you directly provide information to third parties, their privacy policies apply. We are not responsible for third-party data practices.
2.4 Service Updates
If new services require additional data collection:
- We will clearly notify you
- We will obtain your consent before collection
3. User Responsibility
3.1 Eligibility
Users may include:
- Individuals aged 18 or above
- Minors with written guardian consent
- Legally established companies or organizations
Improper registration renders the agreement invalid.
3.2 User Obligations
Users must:
- Provide accurate personal information
- Update information promptly
- Comply with laws of the People’s Republic of China
- Not engage in illegal, harmful, abusive, or disruptive behavior
3.3 Prohibited Activities
Users must not:
- Disseminate illegal, harmful, obscene, defamatory, or misleading content
- Endanger national security or social stability
- Hack, interfere with, or damage networks or systems
- Spread malware or destructive programs
Violations may result in account termination and legal action.
3.4 Liability
Users are fully responsible for their actions.
Any losses, claims, or damages caused by user violations must be fully compensated to QROV DASHCAM and its partners.
4. Intellectual Property
All software, content, designs, trademarks, and materials belong to the Company or rights holders and are legally protected.
Users may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, resell, reverse-engineer, or derive works
- Use the platform for commercial purposes without authorization
5. Legal Provisions
5.1 Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for failures caused by force majeure, including natural disasters, cyber attacks, government actions, or uncontrollable events.
5.2 Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of the USA.
5.3 Dispute Resolution
Disputes shall first be resolved through consultation.
If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the People’s Court with jurisdiction at the Company’s location.
5.4 Agreement Validity
This agreement becomes effective upon user consent or use of QROV DASHCAM services and remains valid until account cancellation.
6. App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
We do not track users across apps or websites for advertising unless explicit permission is granted through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Personal data is retained only as long as necessary for service purposes or legal requirements.

8. Children’s Data
QROV DASHCAM is not intended for children under 13.
If such data is identified, it will be deleted immediately.
